Collage Masterclass

Between 19-21 June, we invited Les Ateliers Charivari; Sandra Maor to give a 3-day collage initiation workshop. The group was invited to learn the different collage technique and tools as well as the transference of image technique (focus of the second day).

Participants explored various creative techniques, including cutting and tearing images, juxtaposition, incision for layering, and image erasure. They learned to mix images with words, use geometric shapes, invert images, and create puzzle-like compositions. The workshop also covered advanced methods like fragmentation, silhouette mixed media, recomposed images, image transfer, and using tracing paper. Attendees were encouraged to create their own backgrounds, enhancing their ability to craft unique, personalized collages.
