Kled Kapexhiu

Kled is a theater director and photographer. He was born in Tirana and currently lives and works in Brussels.

After studying Visual Arts at a young age, he graduated in theater directing from the Academy of Arts in Tirana and pursued his interest in filmmaking at the European Film College in Ebeltoft. He has experimented with various media, ranging from painting and photography to video and stage performance.

His work is a continuous exploration of the seamless coexistence between narrative and the expressive characteristics of the medium. It is precisely in this interplay that the acts are born, emerging from the necessity to assert themselves as a byproduct of storytelling and form. He embraces ambiguity as a constant reality and views his art as a physical act, building upon intention and improvisation.
